This privacy notice information is provided in addition to the University’s main Staff Privacy Notice and Student Privacy Notice.
For Mentors:
As part of the new quality requirements, class/subject mentors have to undergo a minimum of 20hrs training (plus annual 6 hours of refresher training) and professional/ lead mentors 30hrs training (plus annual 12hrs of refresher training).
We will commence using the services of Thinkific in order to help us deliver and manage this training requirement. Please note we intend to make a disclosure of the following personal data: [name, school, school postcode, role] in order that accounts can be created and you are able to access training materials. As compliance with these training requirements is an important aspect of your subject mentor or lead mentor role with University, we rely upon the contract lawful basis to use your information for this purpose.
For University Tutors, Student Teachers and Prospective Student Teachers:
We will commence using the services of Thinkific in order to help us deliver areas of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including supporting students who may need extra help remotely and for those needing support in preparing to study with us in the future.
Please note we intend to make a disclosure of the following personal data: [name, school, school postcode, role] in order that accounts can be created and you are able to access training materials.
We intend to retain records of your training completions for a period of six years from the date of completion. For information about your rights, please see our data subject rights page.
